Born, bred and calling NYC home for 50 years, Susan L. Paul considers herself a displaced New Yorker, now living in Asheville, NC and, for the last 25 years, also in India for 4-6 months a year, as a medical volunteer. Following a 5 decade career in Allopathic Medicine as a Registered Nurse (20 years), and as a licensed and board certified practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (30 years), as well as cooking in Manhattan restaurants and dancing in 2 companies for 12 years, Ms. Paul is also a mother and a grandmother. She is now retired and finally having time to explore a major interest of hers for many years...writing. The event which is the theme of this book was a real occurrence in her own life. She has had more than her share of wonderful surprises, among some prolonged dry spells, and hopes this will continue. This is her first published book.
